What should I expect during the initial visit?
The initial visit is scheduled for 1 ½ hour. During
this visit the dietitians will take a complete medical and
social history, explore goals, previous diets and their outcomes,
your relationship with food, and family history. The dietitian
will help develop strategies to accomplish your goals.
What is the cost of the initial visit?
The cost is $175 (for an hour and a half). Sliding scale fees are available.
What is the cost of the follow up visits?
Follow-up cost varies with the length of the visit. 40 minutes -$100 and 50 minute - $125
How many visits will I need?
All counseling is done on an individual basis. The length
of treatment depends on the individual diagnosis and other
health concerns involved. Some clients may need to spend 6
months or longer while others may need only a few sessions.
Your dietitian will speak with you regarding this during your
initial session and throughout your working relationship.
Does Central Texas Nutrition Consultants offer psychothereapy
services?
Yes. Janet Carbonneau, Licensed Professional Counselor is
a partner in our office. Michelle Cross, LMSW works under
Janet to offer psychotherapy services.
How can I be sure that information shared will be
kept confidential?
Dietitians and therapist are bound by the ethics of confidentiality.
If you are an adult client only you and your therapist will
know you are receiving therapy. All information during sessions
will be held confidential.
Does insurance cover nutrition counseling?
Central Texas Nutrition Consultants is a provider for a number
of insurance plans. Yet each insurance plan has exclusions
that may not include our services. It is important to call
your insurance company to see if they will cover nutrition
counseling for your specific needs, or call CTNC and we will
check for you. |
